On Monday 14th December the Town Hall unveiled a festive surprise - a Christmas themed projection featuring magical scenes including snowy rooftops, a sparkling Christmas tree and a glimpse of the main man himself - Santa and his reindeer.
Thumbs up for Big Night Out
We've just had a splendid 9 days of the Hebden Bridge Arts Festival. The Town Hall has been lucky enough to be involved in lots of different ways, but we were particularly excited by BigNightOut not only as an event here at The Town Hall, but also because it was a collaboration of two of our tenants, the arts festival and BigSmallNoise, a music talent agency in the building.
BigSmallNoise is headed up by Steve Chrisanthou, Dan Chrisanthou and Chris Bussey, three music industry profesionals with impressive credentials of working with artists such as Newton Faulkner, Corrine Bailey Rae, Eliza Doolittle and rising star Chloe Howl. Together, under the banner of BigSmallNoise, they discover, nuture and develop new musical talent. BigNightOut was their first showcase and they presented an impressive selection of northern artists.
Getting things ready in the Waterfront Hall
The hard work of setting up the showcase started on Thursday with rigging the stage. Friday was spent sound checking before the event itself that night. BigNightOut welcomed music industry from London, local music lovers and Hebden Bridge Arts Festival devotees and everyone had a fine time.
