On Monday 14th December the Town Hall unveiled a festive surprise - a Christmas themed projection featuring magical scenes including snowy rooftops, a sparkling Christmas tree and a glimpse of the main man himself - Santa and his reindeer.
Climatepics is currently at The Town Hall, Hebden Bridge
As part of their topic on climates year 6 from Hebden Royd School have been looking at the surreal artwork of photographer and artist, Jason Elliott. His Climatepics portray a tongue in cheek idea of how familiar landscapes may look after a few years of global warming. Jason made it to The Town Hall for their exhibition launch and wished them all well for their future artistic career.

A photo call with Jason Elliott, whose art work inspired the project
Year 6 have been inspired by Jason's images to create their own impressions of how the Upper Calder Valley may look in the future. The children created their artwork using photographs, collage and coloured pencil, changing once familiar landmarks into landscapes more reminiscent of a rainforest. We're really proud at The Town Hall to have their work on display and the exhibition is certainly getting vistors to the building talking.
