The Hebden Bridge WI Rag Market welcomes those who can spin a yarn
The Hebden Bridge Women's Institute is a regular user of The Town Hall, Hebden Bridge, holding their regular meetings here every month. The group also holds a Rag Market twice a year and last weekend saw perfect weather for the summer event.

An inspection of hand spun yarn
Held over 2 days, the Rag Market is full of stalls with fabric, yarn, buttons, and zips. It's the perfect place for crafters, knitters, crocheters, seamstresses and vintage lovers to pick up a great bargain and add interesting items to their stash of fabric and haberdashery.
Young entrepreneurs are encouraged to start up their own business at the Rag Market's Pedlars' Day
Hebden Bridge Women's Institute supports secondary school school students to hone their enterprise and artistic skills by arranging a Pedlar's Day on the Sunday of the Rag Market. Keen crafters aged between 11 - 18 are invited to peddle their wares and are encouraged to undertake some market research on a business idea. From this experience, the young entrepreneurs can create or adapt a strategy and think seriously about how their idea can be developed into a realistic business. This annual addition to the Rag Market event has proven to be so popular the WI have been persuaded to hold another at the October event. More information will be published shortly.
