On Monday 14th December the Town Hall unveiled a festive surprise - a Christmas themed projection featuring magical scenes including snowy rooftops, a sparkling Christmas tree and a glimpse of the main man himself - Santa and his reindeer.
Jane Revitt's Hebden Bridge Chair
We're proud to be the home for what everyone calls the Hebden Bridge Chair. The chair was created by Jane Revitt for The Poetry Shop, an event for Hebden Bridge Arts Festival. Poems were recorded, handwritten onto furniture and made into wallpaper to create a room where visitors could read, write and listen to poetry. Some of the country's finest and funniest poets and 500 local children contributed to this special event.
The Town Hall became the home for the chair when Hebden Bridge Arts Festival moved their office in to the building.
We're very pleased that the chair is back up and working so that recordings can be heard when you sit down.
