Exhibition: Animal Contemporary

‘Animal Contemporary’ is a contemporary art exhibition in Hebden Bridge, curated by art organisation ARTbound, which focusses on how artists portray animals in our modern world, from visually pleasing abstractions to more traditional environments.
Artists have been painting animals for millennia; evidence of this can be found in the discoveries of the very first cave paintings! Our continued relationship with animals is important and keeps us connected with nature.
Showcasing this connection with nature in our homes and businesses is essential for recognition, inner peace and balance, especially in our fast-paced modern lives. Visitors are welcome to visit The Town Hall Hebden Bridge for free, from Mon 5 Feb – Sun 4 Mar 2018, to see the group exhibition throughout the Foyer and Cafe area and purchase the showcasing art in aid of supporting our local and regional artists.
ARTbound provide established artists with events to present their work to wider audiences, whilst also giving up-and-coming artists the opportunity to enter the art world.
