Community

Here at the Town Hall we are committed to helping support and promote health and well being across the Upper Calder Valley

The Hebden Bridge Staying Well hub has been incredibly successful helping develop and create activities in line with the Staying Well objectives to ease loneliness and isolation. Hebden Bridge Community Association is one of three third sector organisations who are funded by Calderdale MBC to manage and deliver the Staying Well project. Our partners are Halifax Opportunities Trust and North Halifax Partnership. We are responsible for Staying Well across the Upper Calder Valley covering the Todmorden, Calder, Luddendenfoot and Ryburn wards.

The Staying Well service is delivered by 2 staff who are seconded to the Association and we support or run 3 community networks across the Upper Valley as well. Staying Well is about supporting vulnerable members of our community over the age of 18. Anyone can be referred or self-refer. Our staff will undertake 1-1 work with clients and refer on into existing activities in the Upper Valley which meet their specific needs or wishes. At the same time the staff work with the community organisations across the patch to support them and connect them together more effectively.

You can find more information about Staying Well across the whole of Calderdale on the Staying Well website
