TOWN HALL \ Get involved

The Town Hall, Hebden Bridge is one of a handful of community-owned Town Halls in the UK and is a symbol of what a community can do when it pulls together with a common ambition and vision.

We were born from the commitment and dedication of a small group of local volunteers who came together with a vision to create a Town Hall at the heart of Hebden Bridge. They in turn galvanised others to support the vision leading to the creation of the original Friends of Hebden Bridge Town Hall.

Whilst the reasons for getting involved might have changed from our early campaigning days the need and desire for community support remains. These pages cover a range of ways you can get involved: joining as a member; volunteering your time to support our work; and financial support by way of donations. In addition, this page links through to any current employment opportunities with us: employing local people is really important!

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you would like to get involved in other ways

Work for us

An important part of being a community-owned organisation is our connections to the local community. We think it’s important that our Trustees, Volunteers and Staff have connections in this area as it roots us into the local community, so we encourage local people to apply for all of our employment opportunities.

When we have vacancies or are expanding our staff team you will be able to find out more through the link below.
