A Chance to Dance: Performance

Starting Saturday 5th November
2.00pm - 4.00pm
£5 per session

A new community dance workshop, with four Saturday sessions of improvised work around creative and contemporary dance, leading to an optional performance on 8th December.

A Chance to Dance: Performance builds on the success of our regular daytime A Chance to Dance sessions. Community Dance Facilitatior Marguerite will lead four Saturday sessions of improvised work around creative and contemporary dance, leading to an optional performance on 8th December.

The sessions will be a fun and relaxed way to explore elements of movement, dance and performance in a safe and welcoming environment. There are no steps or choreography to learn, and Marguerite will also introduce performance elements such as using live and recorded music, and costume.

A Chance to Dance: Performance is open to everyone, but is especially aimed at those who have not yet had the opportunity to dance or to perform - if life has got in the way of dancing you are most welcome to come along! These sessions will build confidence and teach the skills to get moving!

You do not have to attend all the sessions, and there is no obligation to perform at the end.

Saturday session dates:
5th November
12th November
19th November
26th November

Performance will be during the daytime A Chance to Dance session on Thursday 8th December 10am - 12pm.

All abilities, ages, and genders are welcome to come along - if you have any questions about A Chance to Dance: Performance, please get in touch with Marguerite or the Town Hall.

Alongside A Chance to Dance: Performance, Marguerite will also be running her regular monthly daytime sessions, there will also be special themed evening sessions over November and December. Please check our news page over the next few weeks for more information!
