Awakening Arts will be showing the short film: The Hippies of Hebden - How Trouser Town became Hippy Valley, followed by a Q&A session with the filmmakers and participants

This film, put together by Kaye Martindale of Awakening Arts explores the arrival of the hippies to Hebden Bridge. The film hopes to create a space for the voices, memories, and perspectives of all who lived through the 70s and 80s.

Kay says, “We hope it will be a healing film, and a film that celebrates all the people who make this town an amazing place to live.”

The event will be held at the Town Hall on Sunday 10th July at 6pm, followed by a chance to ask questions to the people involved in the making of the film. For tickets, click here.
