Council Chamber Open Days
9th, 10th, 15th, 16th and 17th September

10am - 3pm

A hidden gem in the heart of Hebden Bridge, the Town Hall's stunning Grade II Listed Council Chamber is a fine example of Victorian civic architecture.

Guided by our staff and volunteers, come learn more about the Chamber along with some of the interesting facts behind its establishment! Hosting weddings, civil partnerships, and Parish and Council meetings, the Council Chamber is still active today - and as such is usually by appointment only, making this a great opportunity to welcome new and returning visitors to share in its unique history. The Town Hall also hosts changing art exhibitions and the Town Hall Café.

Join us to find out about the people and histories behind the Old Building (part of Hebden Bridge Town Hall), which includes a Q&A session and refreshments.

As part of our ongoing programme of activity around the Old Building and our series of Heritage Open Days events in 2022, we are delighted to be hosting friends from Hebden Bridge Local History Society sharing the history of the creation of the Council Offices on St George's Street, which now form part of the Hebden Bridge Town Hall. Q&A and refreshments are provided free of charge.

Please visit our Heritage Open Days page for more information and to book tickets.

PLUS there’s more to explore in Hebden Bridge over the Heritage Open Days weeks, see below for more information.
