Film Poster Sale with the Friends of The Picture House - The Waterfront Hall

Saturday 22nd January 10am - 12pm

Calling all film buffs - posters for sale by donation to the Friends of the Picture House, raising funds for a new projector!

On Saturday 22nd January we will be hosting a one-off poster sale in the Waterfront Hall, where a large selection of posters will be for sale with all proceeds going to the Friends of Picture House charity. The Picture House is celebrating its centenary year, and all funds raised through the poster sale will benefit the cinema directly, with plans to upgrade the projector.

The posters for sale will mostly be the large quad size, 30 by 40 inches, as displayed in the lightboxes outside The Picture House, which look fantastic in a frame and make for very striking wall décor!

The posters will reflect the large variety of films screened at The Picture House over the last few years, and some films will have multiple designs available. The Friends of the Picture House (FOPH) will be putting together a list of all posters available on the day, and which box they will be in, but there will be no reservations, so be sure to get there at 10am if there is something special you are after! Some of the posters will come in a tube, and some without, so please bear this in mind.

The FOPH poster sale traditionally attracts a wide range of people - from those interested in film and cinema history, to design students, interior design enthusiasts and locals wishing to support The Picture House.

All sales will be “pay as you feel”, and will be contactless by debit or credit card, please do not bring cash.
