Wellbeing Workshop: Moving through Menopause

Sunday 8th May 2022
2 - 5pm

Come along to meet with our expert panel including a G.P, a Specialist Physio and fitness expert who will be on hand to explain the menopause in-depth, give advice and answer your questions.

What is happening to my body… and mind?

What can I do to lessen the symptoms?

Is some exercise better than others?

What is ‘safe' physical activity?

What about HRT?

Does anyone else feel like me????

If you have been asking yourself these questions, then this workshop is for you!

We want to help individuals to better understand the issues women face at this key life stage and look at the part that exercise can play when peri, menopausal and post-menopausal.

What will the workshop be like?

- Expert panel with a talk from a GP & a specialist physio

- Cake/drink break with lots of time to chat to other similar women

- Q&A / Discussion session with our experts

- Yoga & Meditation relaxation session led by Christina McArthur

The NPBA Wellbeing Workshops aim to support women to stay active through addressing common issues which may reduce participation or stop women from exercising. Part-funded by Sport England's “This Girl Can” campaign, the workshops aim to help our community become informed, get purposeful and find solutions in a supportive environment. During the three-hour workshop, there will be a break with tea, coffee and cake provided.
