Calderdale Friends of Dorothy - Social & Support Group for Lesbians (50+)

We constituted ourselves in 2019 as a group of older lesbians (50+) living in, or with connections to, the Calder Valley.

Calderdale is famous for being LGBT+ friendly but particularly for the presence of many lesbians. However, lesbians have no specific resources here and we are aiming to change that, particularly as we age. We arrange social meet ups as well as discussion groups and active events. We are working on a piece of research to look at our social care, housing and social needs and presently have more than 80 members.
