A Chance to Dance - The Waterfront Hall

Thursday 29th September
10am - 12pm
£4 a session

Resident dancing queen Marguerite is back for an open dance session - everyone welcome!

A Chance to Dance is a fun way to get moving in the morning! With music and disco lights in the Waterfront Hall and led by dance facilitator Marguerite, the drop-in sessions are a chance to move to many different types of music, meet friends and have a good time in a safe and relaxed environment. The sessions are open to everybody, regardless of age, gender or ability, and our building is fully accessible.

Drop in to the session from 10 - 12pm this Thursday, and there will be sessions in October, November and December!

Led by dance facilitator Marguerite, the drop-in sessions are an opportunity to move to many different types of music, meet friends and have a good time in a safe and relaxed environment. The sessions are open to everybody, regardless of age, gender or ability, and our building is fully accessible.

Marguerite says,

“I’m a community dance facilitator trained in contemporary dance, and I have taught creative dance for many years.”

“I don’t teach steps or styles, and A CHANCE TO DANCE sessions are not about how good someone is at dancing, it’s about how it makes you feel!”

“I use many different kinds of music - from across the decades and around the world! These sessions involve what I would call ‘social dancing’, ie what you might do on a night out, or if people have done classes before in a particular style or genre - such line-dancing, ballroom, salsa, why not come along and we can all have a go.”

“A CHANCE TO DANCE does what it says on the tin - a chance to dance in a welcoming, friendly space.”

“Dance and move to your own heartbeat - I can bring the music if you can bring the dancing!”

Request your favourite tunes and get moving!
