Rochdale Canal Overflow - Planning Application

The Environment Agency is working with Calderdale Council to design and build a Flood Alleviation Scheme for Hebden Bridge. As part of this scheme, the Environment Agency and Bam Nuttall are shortly due to complete remediation work at the Vale Centre site on Stubbing Holme Road, which will facilitate the delivery of a canal flood overflow weir.

The planning application has been submitted for the canal overflow weir, and further information can be found on Calderdale Council’s Planning Portal. In addition, members of the project team will be available in the Town Hall on the above dates if you have any questions regarding this or any other aspect of the flood alleviation schemes for Hebden Bridge, Erringden Hillside or Stubbing Holme Road.
