SISATA Open Air Theatre: Wuthering Heights - The Courtyard

Sunday 28th August
6:30pm - 8pm

Tickets £12 - £15

A vibrant new adaptation of Emily Brontë's elemental masterpiece, accompanied by original live music and uplifting songs.

For the first time ever, SISATA, a classical immersive theatre company, are bringing their fresh adaptation of Wuthering Heights to its birthplace of Yorkshire as part of its national tour this summer. Performances will place in parks and gardens in Hull, Leeds, Bradford, Hebden Bridge, and the Brontë Parsonage Museum.

Yorkshire-born Director Charmaine K Parkin says:

“This is the perfect show to take SISATA up north for the first time. I grew up just outside of Hull and had my first theatre experiences as a child at Hull Truck Theatre and The Hull New Theatre as a former Skelton Hooper dance school pupil. I'm so excited to bring my work back to my home.”

This vibrant fast-paced outdoor production, accompanied by beautifully haunting original live music, will tour venues across the UK this summer. Audiences are encouraged to bring their own blankets, cushions, and picnics to enjoy whilst watching this 90-minute production.

The Town Hall courtyard will have its usual chairs and tables too, and the bar will be open throughout the performance.
Please do not bring your own alcohol as alcoholic drinks and soft drinks will be available at the bar.

Charmaine says:

“This is a truly unique adaptation that is interactive, playful, truthful, and fast-paced...a huge feat for a Brontë novel! Our production engages with the nature of love, drawing out all its guises in this tempest of the heart.”

Doors open at 5:45pm for a performance at 6:30pm

Tickets from £12 - £15
