What is Stand By Your Trans?
Stand By Your Trans is a celebration campaign created by the Artistic Director of Trans Creative, and patron of Happy Valley Pride, Kate O'Donnell, aimed at uniting us in solidarity with our trans community.
Stand By Your Trans has been embraced by people across the world. It's on the streets, in theatres, and outside many local businesses and venues, including Hebden Bridge LittleTheatre and Trades Club Hebden Bridge.
This Friday, 31st March, is Trans Day of Visibility - or TDOV. TDOV is an annual celebration of all of the amazing trans people we share this world with. It's also a chance to really shout your support for trans people everywhere. This year, our trans siblings need our love more than ever.
Happy Valley Pride adopted Stand By Your Trans as they believe that trans lives are human lives, trans rights are human rights, and nobody deserves to have their existence debated.
This week, you can show your love and support by picking up one of the Stand By Your Trans Posters from The Town Hall, Hebden Bridge. Put it up in your shop window, at home, in your car, or stick it on a placard.
