A Chance to Dance: Party

Monday 14th November
7.00pm - 9.00pm
£5 per session (drop-in)

A great way to get moving in the run-up to Christmas, with a fun and relaxed dance session!

A Chance to Dance: Party is a great opportunity to get your dancing shoes on, in a relaxed, safe, and welcoming environment. Led by community dance facilitator and groover Marguerite, this session is open to everyone - no skills or experience required!

If you’ve enjoyed our daytime sessions, or haven’t yet had a chance to come along, our Monday evening dance party is the perfect opportunity to see what it’s all about!

The sessions are a fun and relaxed way to try out dance and movement to a variety of different musical styles. There are no steps or choreography to learn, and everyone is welcome!

This first A Chance to Dance: Party will have a Christmassy selection of swing, jive, rock’n’roll and twist hits from the 40s, 50s and 60s. Marguerite even takes requests for your favourite tunes. The session is a drop-in, and our bar will be open selling alcoholic and soft drinks from 7pm - 9pm.

There are more sessions to follow, on 8th December in the daytime the theme will be Christmas carols, and on 12th December the theme will be a Christmas disco!

All abilities, ages, and genders are welcome to come along - if you have any questions about A Chance to Dance: Performance, please get in touch with Marguerite or the Town Hall.

Alongside A Chance to Dance: Party, Marguerite will also be running her regular monthly daytime sessions, and there are a series of Saturday afternoon sessions called A Chance to Dance: Performance.
